Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Quality Control Associate to plan, implement, and supervise the QC plan for projects in the Houston area. You will work with the QCS team, PM, and superintendent to align expectations and develop site-specific QC programs.

Responsibilities include creating FOW, QC templates, and coordinating inspections with subs, vendors, and clients. You will track deficiencies, document QC records, and provide weekly status updates to the QC Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
• Active Army Corps of Engineers-Construction Quality Management certification or recent refresh.
• OSHA-10 certification.
• 2+ years in data center construction or similar QC roles.
• Ability to develop site-specific QC programs and the 4 control phases.
• Strong communication with project teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Participate in QC program planning with project team to align expectations.
• Develop features of work (FOW) and tie to project schedule.
• Create site-specific QC programs and obtain final review.
• Develop inspection templates for each FOW and execute the 4 QC phases.
• Inspect materials for submittal compliance and storage.
• Oversee field inspections and coordinate with subs, vendors, and clients.
• Track deficiencies and enforce timely corrective actions.
• Document all QC records and third-party inspections.
• Provide weekly QC status and look-ahead reports.
• Attend progress meetings and report QC status.
• Promote safe work practices across the QC program.
• Develop final punch list and assist project closeout.
• Interface with client for feedback on QC activities and deliverables.
• Coordinate QC support for startup and commissioning with MEP team.
• Align deliverables with project manager and superintendent.
