Job summary

Daniels-Manufacturing-Corporation-3 in Orlando seeks a hands-on Quality Inspector to support the assigned quality area, address inspection issues at the point of inspection, and serve as the first level of problem solving for the inspection process.

You will train inspectors, lead by example in inspection methods, troubleshoot CMM and optical equipment, coordinate FAIs, support production flow, and help maintain accurate inspection records while upholding safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Hands-on inspection methods, feature evaluation, and daily production support.
• Experience helping others solve technical inspection issues and questions.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support in the assigned quality area and address inspection issues at the point of inspection.
• Serve as the first level of problem solving for the inspection process and execution of standard work.
• Act as a primary trainer for inspectors, demonstrating inspection methods and reinforcing documentation practices.
• Lead by example with inspection methods, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Troubleshoot inspection programs and equipment within defined authority and escalate as needed.
• Facilitate FAIs and support required documentation to remove barriers to execution.
• Support flow through the shop by coordinating priorities and material movement in the area.
• Assist in prioritizing quality work to support production flow and smooth handoffs.
• Partner with Supervisors, Engineering, Manufacturing to resolve issues and maintain inspection requirements.
• Identify recurring friction points and recommend improvements based on shop-floor experience.
• Maintain accurate inspection-related records and support required job/material/workflow documentation.
• Promote safety, quality, and housekeeping in inspection areas.

Essential Job Functions:

• Help the team win the day by providing hands‑on support within the assigned quality area and addressing execution issues at the point of inspection.
• Serve as the first level of problem solving for the inspection process, including questions related to feature inspection, measurement approach, inspection sequence, and execution of standard work.
• Act as a primary trainer for inspectors by answering questions, demonstrating inspection methods, and reinforcing standard work and documentation practices.
• Lead by example through expert knowledge of inspection methods, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and consistent execution of quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot inspection programs, measurement routines, and equipment‑related issues within defined authority, escalating concerns appropriately when additional support is needed.
• Facilitate FAIs within the assigned area by coordinating inspection activity, supporting completion of required documentation, and helping remove barriers that delay execution.
• Help facilitate flow through the shop by supporting job transactions, material movement, inspection readiness, and coordination of priorities within the assigned area.
• Assist in prioritizing quality work within the area to support production flow, smooth handoffs, and alignment with Supervisor direction.
• Partner with Supervisors, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departments to resolve technical issues, maintain communication, and support consistent execution of inspection requirements.
• Identify recurring friction points in inspection processes, inspection programs, FAIs, transactions, or material flow and recommend practical improvements based on shop‑floor experience.
• Maintain accurate inspection‑related records and support required job, material, and workflow documentation in a timely manner.
• Promote and follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements applicable to inspection equipment, work areas, and handling of product.

Requirements

Experience

• 2+ years of quality inspection experience required; lead, trainer, or advanced inspector experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with inspection methods, feature evaluation, first article support, troubleshooting inspection programs, and supporting daily production flow in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience helping others solve technical inspection issues, answer process questions, and maintain execution at the point of work.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in quality, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of inspection methods, measurement techniques, blueprint interpretation, and feature verification.
• Ability to troubleshoot CMM and optical inspection equipment as well as resolve technical inspection issues within the assigned area.
• Experience supporting FAIs and inspection documentation requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Ability to train others, answer technical questions clearly, and reinforce standard work through hands‑on instruction and leadership by example.
• Ability to support workflow through job transactions, material flow, area organization, and timely communication of priorities and issues.
• Strong judgment, urgency, and accountability in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
