Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions in Maryland is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to perform routine and non-routine QC testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products under GMP, GDP, and GLP guidelines.

You will operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, document results in test sheets and SAP, support investigations of OOS results, and collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Scientific Operations to ensure product quality and regulatory

Qualifications

• Must have laboratory-related certificate from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor's degree in Biology or Microbiology preferred.
• About 1 year of microbiology or medical tech lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine QC testing on materials, samples, and finished products per SOPs.
• Safely handle hazardous materials following safety policies.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment.
• Document results and observations in test sheets and SAP.
• Assist investigations of out-of-spec results and suggest corrective actions.
• Ensure GMP, GDP, GLP and company policies compliance.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Scientific Operations teams.
• Provide support across multiple QC laboratories as needed.

Position Overview

The Quality Control Laboratory Technician performs routine and non-routine quality control testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This position follows established SOPs and product specifications while maintaining compliance with GMP, GDP, GLP, and company safety and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established SOPs and product specifications.
• Safely handle hazardous materials, including chemicals and infectious agents, while following all company safety policies and procedures.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Accurately document test results, observations, and laboratory activities in test sheets, laboratory records, and electronic systems such as SAP.
• Support investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results by helping identify potential root causes and contributing to corrective action recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Scientific Operations teams to support product quality and operational objectives.
• Provide support across multiple Quality Control laboratories and laboratory functions as needed rather than being assigned permanently to one laboratory.

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, including up to 4 continuous hours.
• Ability to independently lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to maintain detailed handwritten records.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment for extended periods, including:
• Lab coats
• Respirator masks
• Gloves
• Non-permeable full-cover shoes
• Safety glasses
• Must wear required safety shoes while working.

Required Qualifications

• Laboratory-related certificate from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or another related Life Science field.
• Approximately 1 year of practical experience in a microbiology or medical technology laboratory.
