Job summary

Oldcastle APG is hiring a QC Technician to monitor and document compliance with the AGP Total Quality Control Program. The role involves laboratory testing, sieve analysis, weight checks, data entry, and daily reporting to plant management.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with lab equipment, knowledge of ASTM standards, and MS Office proficiency. Prior plant or lab experience is preferred, with physical ability to lift up to 93 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory testing and documents results
• Performs sieve analysis on aggregates and related products
• Determines color matching on products by wet method
• Tracks weights and calibration of scales on each line
• Reviews batch tickets to ensure weights meet specs
• Ensures correct formulas in production and products
• Sends QA samples for independent testing
• Maintains quality records in spreadsheets
• Prepares daily activity reports for managers
• Supports audits and compiles QC reports
• Keeps lab clean and organized
• Attends safety meetings and adheres to policies
