Description

Production Team Member – Quality Control Lab Technician

Location: Paulo Cleveland – 4428 Hamann Pkwy, Willoughby, OH 44094

Starting pay: $19.00 + shift premium

Additional Shift Premium: +$1.00 for 2nd shift

Shift: 2nd, rotational including weekends

We are hiring for a Quality Control Lab Technician at our Willoughby, OH plant. This permanent role offers stability and growth opportunities. Experience in heat treating is not required; a willingness to learn and develop is key.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support production by verifying cycle, process, calibration, and part conformance to customer specifications. Prepare data, graphs, logs, and certifications for review.
2. Notify management of non-conforming products promptly to prevent shipment or processing.
3. Perform checks on loads and review furnace/equipment charts for accuracy and compliance.
4. Prepare certification packages as per customer requirements and review for compliance.
5. Perform hardness testing and review calibration/surveys for compliance.
6. Write orders as needed, mainly on off-shift.
7. Send samples for cert verification, report non-conformances.
8. Handle communication, record-keeping, and documentation related to quality control.
9. Manage reject reports and customer contacts regarding production issues.
10. Maintain reference records, update specifications, and submit new specs for review.
11. Identify and document certification requirements per customer specifications.
12. Coordinate with customer contacts and share key information with quality team members.

Qualifications

Knowledge:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is critical for success
• Availability for 24/7 operation, including weekends and overtime

Qualifications:

• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen (including THC)

Licenses/Certifications:

• Ability to obtain forklift certification
