Job summary

GELITA USA is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to support testing and data reporting in the QC lab. You will collect samples, perform established tests, and report results with accuracy and timeliness.

You will maintain calibration and cleanliness, assist in inventory, and train teammates while upholding GMP policies. A flexible schedule and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED with chemistry/biology coursework preferred.
• Experience in a Quality Control laboratory preferred but not required; training may be provided.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare samples for testing.
• Perform tests according to established procedures accurately and safely.
• Report test results clearly and legibly to QC Management.
• Interpret data to assist evaluation and report anomalies.
• Maintain equipment including calibration and proper records.
• Assist in inventory of lab equipment and supplies.
• Train other technicians when required.
• Keep the lab clean and orderly through basic housekeeping.
• Interact professionally with co-workers and follow GELITA USA GMP policies.
• Support the company Quality and Food Safety policies through timely testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by QC Management.

Essential Functions:A GELITA USA Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for:• Sample collection and preparation.• Perform appropriate tests according to established procedures in an efficient, timely, accurate and safe manner.• Report test results in an accurate and legible manner.• Interpret data as experience allows to assist in evaluation of data including the reporting of anomalies to QC Management.• Maintain equipment in good working order including calibration.• Assist in maintaining inventories of laboratory equipment and supplies.• Training of other technicians when required.• Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and orderly laboratory.• Interact with all co-workers in a professional manner.• Assist in all areas of the laboratory as required.• Support and follow GELITA USA’s GMP policies.• Support GELITA USA’s Quality and Food Safety Policy through accurate and timely testing.• Other Duties as Assigned by QC ManagementJob RequirementsThe preferred candidate for the Quality Control Lab Technician position will have:• A High School diploma or GED and one two years college level coursework in Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology and/or science related field preferred.• Experience in a Quality Control laboratory preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate.• Proficiency and the ability to quickly learn programs computer programs and in-house software• A Quality Control Lab Technician must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.• Must have a strong work-ethic, be well organized, and have good mathematical skills.• Must be able to work well as part of a team and on an individual basis.• A flexible schedule allowing for changes in daily work routines, weekend work and occasional overtime required.• Person must maintain acceptable attendance requirements with minimal absences and tardiness.• A Quality Control Lab Technician is expected to learn and grow in their expertise relative to the individual tests and overall goals of the laboratory
