Job summary

Rust-Oleum in New Jersey is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure product quality by preparing samples, inspecting components, dispersions, and finished goods. You will document inspections, calibrate testing equipment, and communicate batch adjustments while collaborating with the QC Manager.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of production/manufacturing/quality control experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Some background in physical sciences and algebra.
• Ability to read and enter data accurately through tests.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other MS Office applications.
• Experience in SAP recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Test production batches, incoming materials, finished goods, and components to verify conformance to specifications.
• Judge batches and materials that are fit for release based on specs and visual acceptance.
• Determine and communicate batch adjustments with reference to batch history and QC guidance.
• Validate testing during filling to ensure integrity of finished goods including labeling and weights.
• Communicate inspection status to the QC Manager and report issues with procedures.
• Document inspection results.
