Completion of training in quality control processes is preferred, but hands-on experience can also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh materials for defects.
• Read blueprints and manuals to determine specifications.
• Administer tests to assess qualifications of engineers or operators.
• Analyze test data to determine results.
• Notify supervisors of production problems.
• Write test reports describing results and recommendations.
