Job summary

Course Advisor is seeking an Inspector, Tester, Sorter, Sampler, or Weigher in the United States. This role involves inspecting, testing, and weighing nonagricultural materials to ensure quality standards. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong skills in quality control, active listening, and critical thinking. The position requires analytical capabilities to interpret test results and communicate findings effectively. Completion of training in quality control processes is preferred, but hands-on experience can also be considered.

Inspector, Tester, Sorter, Sampler, or Weigher

Position Description Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh nonagricultural raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.

Job Duties

• Read dials or meters to verify that equipment is functioning at specified levels.
• Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
• Administer tests to assess whether engineers or operators are qualified to use equipment.
• Analyze test data, making computations as necessary, to determine test results.
• Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems.
• Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs.
