Job summary

Pacific Recycling, Inc. is seeking a friendly, reliable Quality Control team member to greet customers, grade materials, identify prohibited items, and coordinate with scale and equipment operators. This full-time position starts at $18–$19 per hour DOE, with 40 hours per week.

Requirements include clear English communication, 18 years of age, forklift certification preferred, and a willingness to learn. Experience in scrapyard settings is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English to understand instructions and emergency communications.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in scrapyard preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Reliable with the ability to adhere to a work schedule.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound and outbound loads.
• Material grading – ensure products meet specifications and sort/separate accordingly.
• Identify prohibited materials (sealed containers, hazardous materials, explosives, etc.).
• Direct and assist customers with material unloading.
• Direct traffic effectively.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently via radio to scale and equipment operators.
• Use forklifts for unloading assistance.
