Job summary

Rampart Products is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to assess materials, components, and processes for compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will document results, identify defects, and collaborate with production and engineering to drive improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on inspection, calibration maintenance, CAPA support, and adherence to safety and ITAR/EAR guidelines in a rugged, defense-focused manufacturing environment in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality control principles, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document inspection results accurately.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products for quality and compliance.
• Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and electrical inspections using measuring tools.
• Verify products against drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Identify, document, and report defects, nonconformities, and deviations.
• Complete inspection reports and quality records accurately.
• Use precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, gauges, and vision systems.
• Assist with root-cause investigations and CAPA actions.
• Work with production to resolve quality problems and prevent recurrence.
• Monitor processes for compliance with procedures and requirements.
• Maintain calibration of inspection equipment and instruments.
• Follow safety, quality procedures and industry regulations.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement projects.
