Job summary

GAME Apparel in Yorktown Heights is seeking a detail-oriented Apparel Quality Control Inspector to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will inspect garments throughout the production process to ensure they meet customer specifications and our quality standards, identifying issues early and helping maintain a zero-defect goal.

You will collaborate with production and quality teams, maintain inspection records, and report defects with corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent; textile training a plus.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation.
  • Experience in garment quality control preferred.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and finishing processes.
  • Familiarity with AQL inspection methods and measurement techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail to identify defects accurately.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

  • Perform in-line and final inspections of garments & decoration during various stages of production (cutting, sewing, finishing, packing).
  • Revise together with personnel to develop and implement onboarding as needed of production staff on quality requirements and best practices.
  • Identify manufacturing defects including but not limited to loose threads, broken stitches, incorrect sizing labels, fabric flaws, poor construction, or measurement discrepancies.
  • Establish & maintain inspection reports, defect logs, and quality records for tracking and analysis.
  • Communicate quality issues to production supervisors and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards.
