Consolidated Precision Products Corp. in Braintree, MA seeks a Quality Control Inspector with NDT experience to join our fast-growing aerospace and industrial parts team. You will perform visual inspection, use measuring devices, and ensure castings meet drawings and standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing or related field.
• Proficient with measuring tools and gauging devices.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and workmanship drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect castings visually using measuring devices and prints.
• Code, mark, and stamp parts for proper processing.
• Apply various testing methods as required (pressure, magnetic particle, bubble) to castings.
• Keep accurate records and reports (scrap, discrepancy, incoming material)
• Prepare information for scrap review by plant staff and Quality Control Manager.
• Perform quality control audits as required.
• Ensure castings are marked and tested per standards/specifications.
• Straighten castings and prepare for X-ray.

Quality Control Inspector (NDT) (Braintree, MA)

Wollaston Alloys/CPP Boston is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team! Responsibilities

• Inspect castings visually utilizing various measuring devices and prints as required.
• Perform various coding, marking, stamping for proper processing
• Subject castings to various testing methods as required (pressure testing, magnetic particle testing, bubble testing, etc.).
• Perform necessary record keeping duties as required.
• Prepare scrap reports, discrepancy reports, incoming material reports, draw castings repair sketches, etc.
• Prepare information for scrap review by plant staff and Quality Control Manager.
• Perform quality control audits as required.
• Ensure all castings are properly marked and tested in accordance to prescribed standards/ specifications.
• Straighten castings as required, prepare castings for X-ray.

About you

• 3+ years of related experience (at least 1 year in manufacturing)
• Comfortable utilizing various measuring tools
• Ability to read blue prints
• NDT inspection (VT, PT, MT) experience a plus.
