Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Inspector III in York, PA. The role focuses on in-process and final inspections, ensuring dimensionally accurate parts and consistent quality across production and supplier components.

The inspector communicates errors promptly, records test data, and supports MRB activities, using calipers, height gauges, and other precision tools to uphold high reliability in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in the quality inspection area.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts during in-process production and communicate errors.
• Perform mechanical and dimensional inspections of diverse product lines.
• Review/audit documentation: CoC, CoA, FAIR.
• Write Defective Material Reports (DMRs) and coordinate RTV Tracker.
• Use measuring tools (calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, Vernier, etc.).
• Coordinate with MRB, Planning, Purchasing or Quality Engineering to resolve issues.
• Review COCs and test documents for accuracy.
• Identify errors and systemic trends and inform supervisor.

Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector III works with production personnel to ensure production and shipment of quality products. This involves inspecting parts during in-process production, communicating errors, and recording test data. The Quality Inspector lends strong attention to detail to support the mechanical/dimensional and visual inspection of finished goods and supplier parts.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of basic GD&T (blueprint reading)
• Mechanical/dimensional inspection of a diverse product lines
• Review/audit of required documentation: CoC, CoA, FAIR
• Write DMRs (Defective Material Reports) as needed and coordinates RTV Tracker (Return to Vendor)
• Use measuring and monitoring equipment (calipers, height gages, pin gages, vernier’s, etc.)
• Coordinate with Material Review Board, Planning, Purchasing or Quality Engineering as needed to resolve open issues
• Review of COCs (Certificates of Conformance), Purchase Orders and Test documents to ensure completion accuracy
• Inspect parts during in-process production and proactively communicate errors and systemic trends to the supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in area of responsibility.
