Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies seeks a Test Engineer I to develop and maintain application-specific software, hardware, and documentation ensuring product quality. The role operates under supervision and guides ongoing verification across specs and requirements.

Responsibilities include hands-on testing, data collection, and reporting, with opportunities to design test equipment and automate tests. This position is on-site in Hauppauge, NY and may involve ITAR/EAR compliance considerations.

Qualifications

• No experience required; up to 4 years may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering or a related field.
• Ability to develop test plans, hardware, software, and documentation.

Job Description

The Test Engineer I creates and maintains application-specific software, hardware, and documentation as required to ensure the quality and integrity of products. This role ensures all elements of the applicable product specifications/requirements are tested and verified. The Test Engineer I performs tasks under supervision and guidance of experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, hardware, software, and documentation
• Assist with the design of specialized test equipment and development of operating procedures
• Operate test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
• Develop test tools and test scripts to perform automated testing
• Collect data and generate test reports
• Review test results, identify test failures, and report problems
• Improve the coverage, execution, and reliability of existing test solutions

Experience QUALIFICATIONS

• No experience is required. OR (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
