Join to apply for the Quality Control Inspector II/III role at CAES.

Overview

Perform mechanical and electrical inspections, as well as functional testing of complex electronic microwave assemblies and sub-assemblies, using various test equipment and gauges. Determine sampling based on specifications and inspection plans. This role involves low complexity work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of materials and assemblies for compliance with requirements.
• Operate measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, volt meters, microscopes, and perform XRF analysis and solder-ability testing.
• Assist in inspections of classified devices following security procedures.
• Support quality investigations and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Obtain/maintain internal inspection certifications.
• Review supplier data for compliance.
• Interface with customer inspectors and maintain equipment and safety standards.
• Participate in safety, 6S, and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
• Provide guidance and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-4 years of experience in quality or manufacturing.
• Eligibility to access controlled US technology and materials.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred:

• Associate Degree or Technical Certification.
• Experience with specifications, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, SAP, Agile, and CMM programming.
• GD&T certification.

Salary Range

$21.966/hr to $33.90/hr, full-time in San Diego. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, paid holidays, and more.
