Job summary

IPG Photonics in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II to join the manufacturing quality team. The role focuses on incoming inspection, review of DHRs, and adherence to GMP and documentation practices to ensure product quality.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in quality roles, with a background in medical devices preferred, and strong Microsoft Word/Excel skills. Experience with ISO13485, ISO14644, and CFR 21-820 is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a Quality role (medical device preferred).
• Familiarity with ISO13485, ISO14644, CFR 21-820.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; knowledge of QMS/CMMS/PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of materials and receiving documentation for conformity to specifications.
• Review DHRs and release finished goods in a timely manner.
• Assist in calibration activities and retrieval of calibrated equipment.
• Support quality audits and internal/external audit preparation.
• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel to improve quality systems.
• Participate in CAPA/NCMR processes to improve practices.
