Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II to partner with production teams and ensure products meet quality standards before shipment. You will perform mechanical, dimensional, and visual inspections, document results, and communicate quality concerns while supporting audits and calibration activities as needed.

Ideal candidates will have experience with GD&T, CoC/CoA review, and the use of calipers and height gauges.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic GD&T (blueprint reading)
• Strong inspection and measurement skills
• Knowledge of IPC standards is a plus (610/620) and J-STD-001 familiarity

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical/dimensional inspection of diverse product lines.
• Review/audit required documentation: CoC, CoA, FAIR.
• Write DMRs and coordinate RTV Tracker.
• Use measuring equipment (calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, verniers, etc.).
• Coordinate with MRB, Planning, Purchasing or QE to resolve issues.
• Review COCs, POs and Test documents for accuracy.
• Inspect parts during in-process production and report errors and trends.
• Maintain awareness of IPC standards (IPC 610, IPC 620, J-STD-001)

Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector II partners with production teams to ensure products meet quality standards before shipment. This role performs mechanical, dimensional, and visual inspections throughout production; identifies and communicates quality concerns; and accurately documents inspection results and test data. When qualified and assigned, the inspector may support internal quality and safety audits, corrective and preventive actions, and the calibration process for inspection and test equipment, including status verification, record maintenance, and control of equipment that is due for calibration or found out of tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of basic GD&T (blueprint reading)
• Mechanical/dimensional inspection of a diverse product lines
• Review/audit of required documentation: CoC, CoA, FAIR
• Write DMRs (Defective Material Reports) as needed and coordinates RTV Tracker (Return to Vendor)
• Use measuring and monitoring equipment (calipers, height gages, pin gages, vernier's, etc.)
• Coordinate with Material Review Board, Planning, Purchasing or Quality Engineering as needed to resolve open issues
• Review of COCs (Certificates of Conformance), Purchase Orders and Test documents to ensure completion accuracy
• Inspect parts during in-process production and proactively communicate errors and systemic trends to the supervisor
• Basic knowledge of IPC standards- IPC 610, IPC 620, J-STD-001

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in area of responsibility
• IPC-A-610 certification is required
• J-STD-001 certification is preferred
