Job summary

FMI Composites in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector I to ensure products meet stringent quality standards. You will inspect raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products, following procedures and safety requirements to prevent defects.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in quality or manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of quality, manufacturing or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions, procedures and safety requirements.
• Inspect incoming raw goods and in-process materials for specs.
• Perform intermittent QC checks and verifications.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming items to prevent downstream issues.
• Use scales, calipers, gauges to inspect materials.
• Record results and complete required logs and docs.
• Move materials safely with hoists and pallet jacks.
• Collaborate with production to troubleshoot issues and improve yield.
• Work safely in a manufacturing environment with hazards.
• Cross-train and assist teammates as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
