Overview:

As a Quality Control-Level I Trainee you will be responsible for basic inspections and reworks that adhere to Athena Manufacturing, LP Quality Control policy in regards to their products and services. Learning the expectations and familiarizing yourself with our quality policy procedures and protocols that Athena Manufacturing, LP has established.

Key Responsibilities:

(include but not limited to): Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

  • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Check equipment for proper operation, safety and or needed maintenance.
  • Learn and utilize various inspection tools
  • Perform basic inspection functions using non-programmable measuring instrumentation.
  • Perform visual inspections on products prior to shipping as well as parts being received.
  • Document inspection results by completing required reports and logs
  • Interface and communicate with work center management and other departments as required to resolve any quality issues
  • Learn proper procedures and protocols to avoid errors that could cause excessive scrap and rework
  • Review and inspect any rework product to ensure proper changes have taken place as instructed and parts conform to customer requirements/specifications.
  • Provide documentation and distribution of non-conformances to ensure expedient MRB and disposition.
  • Understand and interpret basic 2D drawings/schematics for inspection of customer parts
  • Utilize various software programs, i.e. Excel, Word, Adobe
  • Perform other jobs or functions assigned by manager/supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum Preferred Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1-3 years related experience.

  • Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift weight up to 35 pounds

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader
