Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Physically demanding job requiring the ability to lift 40+ pounds and work overhead.
• High school diploma and relevant experience in a fabrication/manufacturing environment; ability to read schematics.
• Experience in quality control inspection preferred including building code knowledge and understanding construction manuals.
• Ability to build effective relationships and communicate inspection results.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct visual and measurement tests; document rejections and required corrections; prevent defective products from being delivered.
• Follow work orders and HUD/regulatory requirements to review preparation and assembly of building components.
• Discuss inspection results with production supervisors, team leads, and line assemblers to drive quality improvements.
• Maintain inspection reports and communicate violations of the quality process to supervisors and QC Manager.
• Keep tools, machinery, and the work area clean and organized; ensure equipment is operating properly.
