Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector in Fort Worth to perform inspections and testing of wireline components and assemblies. You will verify conformance to API standards, review test certificates, and maintain calibration records while ensuring HSE and quality compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of oil & gas inspection experience, ASNT Level 2 certification in NDE methods, and strong aptitude with measuring tools and drawings.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma preferred.
• 3-5 years of oil & gas product inspection experience.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
• ASNT Level 2 certification in at least 2 NDE methods (LPT & MPT).

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections per API standards (5CT, 7-1, premium connections).
• Conduct dimensional, visual, NDT, and hardness testing on components.
• Verify conformance to specifications using precision instruments.
• Maintain calibration database and schedule equipment calibrations.
• Review material test certificates and drawings for accuracy and revisions.
• Document inspection results and manage NCR/CPAR processes.
• Identify quality issues and apply problem-solving methods.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, QMS, and industry regulations.
• Communicate inspection findings to supervisors and stakeholders.

• Perform in-process, final product, and receiving inspections by established procedures and API standards (5CT, 7-1, and premium connections)
• Conduct dimensional, visual, non-destructive testing (NDT), and hardness testing on components
• Verify conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and gauges
• Maintain calibration database and coordinate equipment calibration schedules
• Review material test certificates and technical drawings for accuracy and current revisions
• Document inspection results, prepare detailed reports, and manage NCR/CPAR processes
• Identify quality issues and apply systematic problem-solving methodologies
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, quality management systems, and industry regulations
• Communicate inspection findings effectively to supervisors and stakeholders

Skills / Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Trade Certificate preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in oil & gas product inspection
• Proficiency with standard measuring equipment and ability to interpret technical drawings
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
