Job summary

Exel Med is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure products meet the company’s quality standards. You will inspect shipments and finished goods, compare them to drawings and specifications, and record inspection results in reports and quality databases.

You will propose improvements to the production process, monitor equipment for safe operation, and scrap nonconforming products. This is an onsite, full-time position requiring rigorous attention to detail and clear communication.

Qualifications

  • A.A. or A.S. degree in a field related to medical devices, life sciences, engineering, healthcare, or closely related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality control or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Clear and effective reading and writing abilities
  • Familiar with QC inspection process using AQL sampling
  • Familiar with NCR and CAPA
  • Knowledge of medical device industry standards and regulations, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Familiar with electronic filing system Qualio and ERP System (NetSuite) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support incoming and outgoing inspections using industry appropriate methods, such as comparing standards, measuring dimensions, examining functionality and following company guidelines.
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, and inputting data into quality databases.
  • Reviewing manufacturing device history records (DHR)
  • Collecting and compiling statistical quality data.
  • Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
  • Support monitoring of Office and warehouse cleanliness.
  • Support monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe
  • Determining the root cause of product defects
  • Creation of Certificates of Compliance, Non-conformance Reports, and Supplier Corrective Action Request

Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the company’s quality standards. They will be responsible for examining shipments of inventory and finished goods. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications to compare to produced goods, recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing rework scrap, and inputting data into quality databases. They will be expected to propose improvements to the production process, monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe, and scrap any products that do not meet quality requirements.
