Job summary

Brandart in Racine, Wisconsin, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on inline and final inspections, quality reporting, and implementing corrective actions with vendors to meet customers' specifications.

We require at least 3 years’ experience in quality control for printing and packaging, knowledge of AQL standards, strong communication skills, and a detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production quality per customers' requirements and record in quality reports.
• Perform inline inspections and write reports to improve production quality.
• Perform final inspections and release shipments with reports.
• Provide corrective actions to vendors and track effectiveness.
• Check and approve raw materials before assembly and coordinate tests.
• Coordinate with vendor QC teams to align on quality standards.
• Provide QC support to PM and planning teams.
• Monitor production data and report to HQ.

To support our growth, we are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team.

The role need to visit factories and conduct quality control mainly in Mt Pleasant, Racine, Wisconsin.

Availability to travel in US and Central and Latin America is needed.

We offer permanent/freelance contract, open to full-time or part-time.

• Monitor the quality of production according with customers’ requirement as shown in Brandart’s official Technical Data Sheets (TDS); to detect defective pieces and records them in Quality Reports; to suggest Corrective Actions to the Vendor(s) and to follow-up their implementation and effectiveness.
• Perform inline inspection and write the report so to improve the general quality in the production line.
• Perform final inspection and write the report so to release the shipment.
• Provide valuable solution to reduce defect rate and avoid potential risk of complaint.
• Check and approve raw materials before start the assembling.
• Arrange physical tests before approving materials and PPS.
• Meet and align the QC team of our vendors about quality standards and procedures.
• Provide quality technical support to the PM team and planning team.
• Perform and evaluate physical tests reports before release the productions.
• Coordinate with the regulatory dept. in order to verify that all the productions have been tested according to the precise standards requested by customers.
• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports for evaluation by the HQ.
• Suggest ways to the Vendor(s) to reduce waste and increase efficiency; and to define quality procedures to be followed by the Vendor(s) in conjunction with Brandart Team and the operating staff of the Vendor(s).
• Monitoring daily and monthly production by comparing to customer forecast and provide alert and notification in case of misalignment to the HQ
• Provide daily report on production capacity and quality to the HQ
