Job summary

Century Mold Co. Inc. in Pulaski, TN seeks a Quality Control Inspector to join our plastics division.

You will conduct dimensional measurements with precision tools, interpret GD&T per project drawings, and maintain data records to validate conformity against standards. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, documentation of inspection results, and timely communication of any quality issues to the team.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent required or two-year college/technical school experience.
  • Experience in quality control and inspection processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and measuring equipment helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect products and perform dimensional measurements using micrometers, calipers, RAM, optical and profilometer per QCP and monitor sheet.
  • Interpret QCP, engineering drawings and GD&T to determine acceptance criteria.
  • Record and evaluate inspection data and identify deviations from standards.
  • Inform appropriate personnel of quality problems and non-conformities.
  • Sign off products on the production floor and maintain safety and quality procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner by getting along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers, and all other employees.
  • Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position.
  • Must adhere to all safety rules and company policies.
  • Attendance/punctuality: is consistently at work and on time.
  • Selects products at specified intervals and performs dimensional measurements utilizing micrometers, calipers, RAM, optical and profilometer as defined on QCP and monitor sheet.
  • Basic interpretation of QCP and engineering drawings, and interpretation of GD&T.
  • Record and evaluate inspection data to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Complete non-conforming material report and place product on hold where necessary.
  • Inform appropriate personnel of all quality problems.
  • Signs off product on production floor.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ANSTAT software; GD&T; SPC and Variation; Ability to learn new software as needed.
