Quality Control Inspector Job Overview:

The role involves performing a variety of quality control tasks, verifying components are produced according to specifications, and documenting results. The inspector will also prepare paperwork and inspect various gauges issued to production.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Perform in-progress inspections for machined components.
• Review operator inspection reports and traveler information.
• Report findings to the shift supervisor and communicate results to machine operators.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) for new parts and setups.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, including continuous quality improvement, safety, and environmental standards.
• Have detailed knowledge of inspection techniques, tools, and methodologies.
• Possess working knowledge of GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Use a variety of measuring devices for dimensional inspection.
• Be dependable and willing to learn new techniques.
• Experience in medical and aerospace manufacturing, with emphasis on FAI.
• Adhere to ISO-13485 quality standards.

Minimum Job Requirements & Education:

Completed an AAS degree from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience. College courses in blueprint reading, measuring tools, and GD&T are highly desirable.
