Job summary

HEICO in Edgewood, NY is seeking a quality inspector to receive parts from customers and vendors, inspect for damage, and ensure they meet specifications. You will prepare repair documents, become proficient with measuring devices and essential tools, and maintain inventory according to ISO policies.

Base hourly pay ranges from $21 to $24, with bonus potential and a full benefits package including health/dental/vision/Life and disability insurance, 401(k) match up to 6%, and vacation and sick

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting parts for quality and conformity.
• Ability to read repair instructions and follow procedures.
• Familiarity with ISO policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Log in, inspect and analyze parts that are shipped/mailed in from other companies or clients for service.
• Read repair instructions and produce repair (Traveler) documents.
• Contact customer for information, etc. Be able to communicate with internal and external customers.
• Requisition detail components and maintain inventory/stock levels.
• Work at a computer console entering parts. Become familiar with computer software system.
• Maintain inventory of rotable material and stock verification.
• Assist other inspectors and employees as needed.
• Assists in the management of the Quality Management System to assure each department has documented there procedures and the procedures are implemented and effective. Utilize and implement standard work in each department.
