Job summary

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in steel fabrication inspections.
• Familiarity with ANSI/AISC 360-16 N.4.1 for final inspections.
• QCI qualifications include welding acceptance criteria and high-strength bolting.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our steel fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible forensuring that all materials, welds, and finished components meet establishedindustry standards and company specifications. This role involves conductinginspections, documenting results, identifying non-conforming materials, andcollaborating with production teams to maintain the highest level of qualityand compliance throughout the fabrication process.

• Conductinspections as required, including nonconforming receipt inspections.
  
• Inspectwelds for compliance with AWS D1.1 standards.
  
• Performfinal inspections on fabricated steel components.
  
• Measureoverall part characteristics to ensure specifications are met.
  
• Recordand report inspection results accurately.
  
• Inspectgrade, shape, and thickness of incoming materials.
  
• Verifythat bolts meet purchase order specifications.
  
• Maintainthorough inspection records.
  
• Identifyand document non-conforming materials.
  
• Ensureproper gauges are used to measure weld sizes.
  
• Guaranteecalibrated tools are used during all inspections.
  

Requirements

• Minimum10 years of experience in steel fabrication processes.
  
• Trainingand experience consistent with ANSI/AISC 360-16 Chapter N.4.1 to performfinal inspections across all typical company processes.
  
• QCIqualifications include expertise in welding acceptance criteria,high-strength bolting, and erection tolerances.
