Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team in California. This role requires inspecting injection molded and foam molded components, reading drawings, and ensuring conformance to specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of Quality Inspection experience in precision manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of GD&T and measurement tools required.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar quality systems is preferred.
• Experience with SPC methods and ITAR/AS9102 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of injection molded and foam molded components.
• Verify products conform to drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections throughout manufacturing.
• Review material certifications and verify compliance with standards.
• Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials and products.
• Support corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements and collaborate to improve processes.
• Participate in internal, external, and customer quality audits.

Quality Control Inspector

Pay Rate: $26.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays based on production needs

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements through detailed inspections and documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace, automotive, machining, defense, or other precision manufacturing environments.

The Quality Control Inspector will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify defects, maintain compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of injection molded and foam molded components.
• Verify products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
• Review material certifications and verify material compliance with applicable standards.
• Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials and products.
• Support corrective and preventive action activities to resolve quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Participate in internal, external, and customer quality audits.
• Assist in training production personnel on quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company quality systems and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of Quality Inspection experience in aerospace, automotive, machining, manufacturing defense, or related industries.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as:
  • ISO 9001
  • AS9100
  • ISO 13485
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
• Familiarity with quality and regulatory requirements, including ITAR and AS9102.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with injection molding and/or foam molding manufacturing processes.
• Background in aerospace, defense, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting audits and quality improvement initiatives.
