Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, seeks a Foreman to supervise semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel, ensuring quality and productivity.

You will train staff, oversee adherence to drawings and procedures, and manage manufacturing, installation, and testing processes with financial impact across shifts. US citizenship is required to start, with a sign-on bonus offered for Foreman hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Apprenticeship Certification, or high school with 4 years in manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, or military experience.
• Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical with 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience supervising trades personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, coordinate and evaluate semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel.
• Train employees to improve quality and productivity; assist in developing training procedures.
• Ensure compliance with drawings and procedures and manage manufacturing, installation, operation, testing and process operations with financial impact.
• Monitor budget and performance across shifts.
