You will coordinate with fabrication personnel and QA to document each phase and ensure traceability. In collaboration with project teams, you will facilitate inspections, bolt testing, weld mapping, material tracking, and final inspection records using tablet-based QC software, with a focus on safety
The Fabrication Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting thorough quality control (QC) inspections and administering related processes to ensure that all company fabrication activities fully comply with design drawings, specifications, and the requirements outlined in the Quality Management System. The technician collaborates closely with fabrication personnel to coordinate and document each phase of the fabrication process, ensuring that all steps are properly recorded and traceable. Additionally, this role involves coordination with Quality Assurance personnel, materials testing laboratories, and relevant company assets to confirm that all contract obligations are met. Furthermore, the Fabrication Quality Control Technician works in partnership with project management teams to facilitate timely and accurate inspections of required fabrication items, supporting the overall success and compliance of fabrication projects.
In this position, employees will regularly need to speak and listen. They often must stand, walk, use their hands and fingers, handle objects, feel, and reach with their arms. Employees may also be required to sit, climb or balance, as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally, lifting or moving items up to 25 lbs is necessary.
