Job summary

Champion Home Builders seeks a Quality - Electrical Tester to survey, test, and inspect electrical installations. Ensure conformance with HUD and Texas state requirements and document results.

Maintain records, identify defects, and coordinate with electrical personnel to resolve issues while upholding safety policies. The role requires a High School diploma or GED with at least one year related experience or training, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds as needed in a construction

Qualifications

  • Requires attention to detail in inspecting electrical installations.
  • Experience with HUD and Texas state requirements is a plus.
  • Must be able to follow testing procedures and document results.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect electrical installations for defects and ensure standards compliance.
  • Maintain and use check sheets to record findings.
  • Coordinate repairs with electrical personnel to resolve issues.
  • Follow OSHA safety policies and procedures during all tasks.
  • Assist in preparing testing reports and documentation.

Job Title: Quality - Electrical Tester

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary: Surveying, testing, and inspecting electrical install to ensure conformance with standards. Check for irregularities and defects. Adhere to HUD and Texas State requirements and guidelines. Complete testing reports and documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Utilize chcek sheet and inspect for electrical defects.
  • Follow-up on repairs continuously.
  • Personally inspect each item written up on the check sheet to verify that a quality repair has been made and that no other damage heappens during the repair process.
  • Coordinates with electrical personnel to effectively resolve problems related to electrical defects.
  • Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High School degree or G.E.D. and one year related experience and/or training is preferred.
