Job summary

Cambrex in Charles City, IA, seeks a Quality Control Chemist for night shift to perform chemical analyses and ensure compliance with EPA, FDA, cGMP, cGLP and DEA rules. Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry/Biology or related science field required.
• Advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferred.
• Three years laboratory cGMP environment experience (NLT 5 years) with a BS or advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to EPA, FDA, cGMP, cGLP, DEA regulations and SOPs for QC lab operations.
• Perform chemical analyses for release of raw materials, in-process, intermediates, finished goods and stability.
• Maintain/calibrate lab instruments; support IQ/OQ/PQ and preventive maintenance.
• Write controlled documents like reports, test procedures and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot analytical equipment and perform method transfers from Analytical Development.
