Job summary

Robertet seeks a Quality Control Chemist I in Mt. Olive, NJ to assess quality of fragrances and ingredients produced in the facility. You will perform analytical testing using GC, densitometry, refractometry, and wet chemistry, and render disposition on materials.

Responsibilities include maintaining lab systems, reporting results, investigating non-conformances, and supporting ISO 9001 compliance. Requires a college degree and 2+ years QC experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or higher in a chemistry-related field with strong QC basics.
• 2+ years of quality control experience in a lab environment.
• Experience using GC, GC-MS, and wet chemistry methods.
• Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and document results.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing using specified instruments (Densitometer, Refractometer, Colorimeter, Polarimeter) and GC fundamentals.
• Conduct organoleptic evaluations and render disposition on fragrances/ingredients.
• Maintain Lab Management system and report analytical results per procedures.
• Investigate non-conformances and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Provide documentation such as Certificates of Analysis when requested.
• Keep laboratory clean, organized, and instruments properly maintained.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 processes and updates.
