Job summary

Zing Recruiting is seeking a QC Chemist for our Mt Olive, NJ site. The role focuses on analytical testing, instrument use, and compliance with ISO 9001. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 1st shift, with salary range $70,000–$75,000 DOE.

Responsibilities include operating densitometer, refractometer, colorimeter, polarimeter, GC and GC-MS; recording results in the lab system; investigating non-conformances; maintaining equipment and cleanliness; supporting QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with listed laboratory instruments and wet chemistry practices.
• College degree with 2+ years in a QC environment is required.
• Ability to document and communicate test results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing using specified instruments.
• Conduct organoleptic evaluations as needed.
• Record and report results in the Lab Management system.
• Investigate non-conformances and determine root causes.
• Prepare documentation such as Certificates of Analysis on request.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 requirements and process flows.

QC Chemist

Location: Mt Olive, NJ

Salary: $70k $75k DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st Shift

Leading flavor/fragrance manufacturer located in Mt Olive is in need of a Chemist to join the team!

Duties

• Perform analytical testing using instruments such as Densitometer, Refractometer, Colorimeter and Polarimeter.
• Perform organoleptic evaluations to render as disposition
• Maintain Lab Management system. Recording and reporting analytical results. Updating various other systems as per procedure.
• Investigates non-conformances. Compiles and analyzes test information to determine root causes and corrective actions. Communicates technical information to both internal and external customers Quality Control services
• Ability to provide information or documentation when requested i.e. Specifications, Certificate of Analysis
• Maintain laboratory. Required to clean and organize work area
• Maintain lab equipment. Validate instruments as required by procedure and ensure that instruments are routinely cleaned.
• Understand and execute all necessary requirements for ISO 9001
• Remain accountable for all defined responsibilities as defined by ISO 9001 process flows
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
