Job summary

Grifols in California, USA is seeking a QC Chemist to perform routine and non-routine assays on protein-based therapeutics and raw materials, ensuring quality and compliance with FDA regulations. The role emphasizes data integrity, documentation, and collaboration with a GMP environment.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology, have strong analytical skills, and be able to work varied shifts to support a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related science required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated testing lab preferred.
• Understanding of analytical methods and protein biochemistry (e.g., IC, HPLC, GC).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work flexible shifts to support 24/7 plant operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC testing including release, stability, in-process testing.
• Enter data into LIMS for reporting and trending.
• Review results against specifications.
• Maintain logs for equipment, samples, and usage.
• Adhere to FDA regulations and maintain documentation.
• Support lab safety policies and housekeeping.
