Job summary

Fathom seeks a Quality Control Associate Level 2 in Newark, NY to support inspection activities and QMS tasks. You will read engineering drawings, set acceptance criteria, and document results, interacting with vendors and internal teams to maintain product quality.

The role requires 1–3 years in QA, HS diploma, and CAD drawing interpretation. Proficiency with measuring tools and MS Office is expected; ASQ/GD&T training is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 1–3 years related quality assurance experience.
• Experience with MS Office and Adobe.
• CAD knowledge: Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with metric and inch units.
• Measuring tools knowledge: caliper, micrometer.
• Inspection equipment knowledge is required.
• ASQ certification is a plus.
• Print reading/GD&T training is a plus.
• CMM knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and establish acceptance criteria.
• Document inspection results and input data into the quality database.
• Coordinate with external vendors for outsourcing inspections.
• Support Root Cause Analysis and CAPA processes.
• Participate in internal audits and training.
