Job summary

Misfits Market is seeking a Quality Control Associate to inspect warehouse food products and ensure they meet high quality standards. You will report to the Quality Supervisor and help maintain food safety across the operations team.

You will perform QC audits on produce, verify inbound deliveries, and document accurate records while escalating issues promptly. The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and willingness to work Sundays through Thursdays evenings.

Qualifications

• Maintenance of food safety standards in warehouse operations.
• Accurate inspection and auditing of products and deliveries.
• Ability to follow state and local regulations and internal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all food products in the warehouse for quality.
• Perform frequent QC audits on produce and grocery items.
• Verify quality and accuracy of inbound deliveries with temperature/pressure checks.
• Identify and report food safety or quality issues to Lead/Supervisor.
• Document records of all products, including discarded/damaged items.
• Perform basic mathematical checks during audits and cycle counts.
• Escalate low yields or issues to appropriate team members.
• Manage time and priorities to minimize downtime in receiving/production.
