Misfits Market is hiring for a Quality Control Lead to support warehouse QA across inbound, storage, production, and outbound stages. You will review data, enforce food-safety standards, and ensure high-quality, affordable groceries reach customers.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience in refrigerated environments (36 F).
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and comply with state/local food regulations.
• Perform QC inspections on produce and groceries and document items that fail inspection.
• Record and maintain accurate product records in the warehouse system.
• Validate inbound deliveries quality, temperature, and pressure; update databases.
• Identify and escalate food safety or quality issues to the QC Supervisor.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and cycle counts; perform basic math.
• Segregate and label non-conforming materials for hold, rejection, or sort.
• Own inbound quality inspections and storage shelf-life verification.
• Review inbound trends and reimbursement reports to inform planning.
• Manage time and changing priorities to minimize downtime in receiving/production.
• Train new team members on company processes.
• Backup to QC Supervisor and QA Lead during absences.
