Job summary

Misfits Market is seeking a Quality Control Associate to inspect all food products in the warehouse and ensure they meet our high standards of quality. The role reports to the Quality Supervisor and supports the operations team in maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will conduct audits, verify inbound deliveries, document records, and escalate any food safety or quality concerns to keep customers receiving top-notch, affordable groceries.

Qualifications

• Maintains food safety quality in warehouse environments.
• Performs QC audits on produce and grocery products.
• Verifies inbound deliveries with temperature/pressure checks.
• Escalates food safety or quality problems to leads/supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; compliant with regulations.
• Perform frequent QC audits on warehouse products.
• Verify quality/accuracy of inbound deliveries including temperature and pressure checks.
• Identify and report potential food safety or quality issues to Lead/Supervisor.
• Document and maintain accurate records of all warehouse products.
• Perform basic mathematical computations during audits/inspections/cycle counts.
• Escalate issues regarding low yields for appropriate action.
• Manage time and priorities to minimize downtime in receiving/production.
• Adhere to GDP and facility food safety rules daily.
• Escalate food safety hazards and halt production if product integrity is compromised.
