Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform first article inspections and in-process quality inspections.
• Conduct equipment calibrations and maintain calibration records.
• Inspect finished products to ensure specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Complete quality documentation and data entry accurately.
• Assist with trimming and other production-related tasks as needed.
• Identify and report quality concerns to supervisors and production teams.

Quality Control Associate

Location: Hempstead, TX 77445

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required)

Pay: $20.00+ per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

VSSI Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Control Associate to join a growing manufacturing team in Hempstead, TX. This position plays a vital role in ensuring products meet quality standards through inspections, measurements, testing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform first article inspections and in-process quality inspections.
• Conduct equipment calibrations and maintain calibration records.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Complete quality documentation and data entry accurately.
• Assist with trimming and other production-related tasks as needed.
• Identify and report quality concerns to supervisors and production teams.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
