Total Staffing Solutions in Aurora, IL is seeking a Quality Control Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role involves reading assembly instructions, inspecting components, and ensuring products meet quality standards during production.

You will use hand and power tools, calipers, gauges, and measurement devices; maintain production and inspection records in NetSuite; and collaborate with supervisors to address non-conformities.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings, blueprints, work orders, and product specifications.
• Perform advanced assembly of products and components using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and other production equipment.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to verify workmanship, fit, alignment, dimensions, appearance, and compliance with quality standards.
• Utilize measuring and inspection equipment to identify defects, non-conforming conditions, incorrect assemblies, missing components, and dimensional discrepancies.
• Segregate non-conforming materials and coordinate with supervisors and other departments to ensure corrective actions and rework are completed before products proceed through production.
• Review completed assemblies against drawings, specifications, work orders, samples, and established quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality records, including labor reporting and data entry within NetSuite.
• Flex between assembly, inspection, rework, inventory, and other production-support activities as needed to meet operational requirements.

Job Position: Quality Control Assembler Location: Aurora, IL 60502 Pay Rate: $21.00/hr Shift: 7:00am-5:30pm (Mon-Thu)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings, blueprints, work orders, and product specifications.
• Perform advanced assembly of products and components using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and other production equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of assembly processes, workmanship standards, and manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, measurements, and product specifications.
• Ability to identify visual and dimensional defects in parts and completed assemblies.
• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, squares, calipers, gauges, or other inspection equipment applicable to the operation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently identify deviations from established standards.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to accurately document inspection findings and production information.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate quality concerns professionally and clearly with coworkers, leads, and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining production and quality expectations.
• Ability to balance production efficiency with quality requirements.
