QPS Employment Group is seeking a Quality Control Technician for a company in Richmond, IL. This is a 1st shift, potential-to-hire position offering wage between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include inspecting products, reading blueprints, using height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators, and documenting results. Ideal candidates have QC or manufacturing inspection experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Previous experience in Quality Control or Manufacturing Inspection.
  • Read and interpret blueprints/schematics/ drawings.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process, first-piece, and final inspections on manufactured products.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Use precision measuring equipment and verify measurements meet quality standards.
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming materials and products.
  • Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and production personnel.
  • Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of materials, components, and finished products.

Position Title: Quality Control Technician

Wage: $18.00-$20.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:30am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday 10-hour days

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Quality Control Technician for a company in Richmond, IL. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.

Quality Control Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform in-process, first-piece, and final inspections on manufactured products
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and customer specifications
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including height gauges, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other testing instruments
  • Verify measurements and product characteristics meet quality standards and tolerances
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming materials and products
  • Communicate quality concerns, defects, and production issues to supervisors and production personnel
  • Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct audits and inspections of materials, components, and finished products
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and inspection equipment
  • Follow all company quality procedures, safety policies, and work instructions
  • Support and adhere to all system procedures and company policies/procedures
Quality Control Technician Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with small components and precision measuring tools
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Inspection
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Experience using height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Basic math skills, including understanding decimals, fractions, and measurement conversions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, metalworking, or industrial environments
  • Preferred knowledge of quality systems, inspection procedures, and root cause analysis
  • Preferred experience working with customer specifications and quality standards
