Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No certifications or licenses required.
• No prior experience required, though QC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each weld and pipe to ensure correct outlets and placements as per standards.
• Verify dimensions and weld placements per production sheets.
• Inspect threads and fittings per the Quality Control Sheet.
• Compare products to production sheets and discard non-conforming items.
• Complete QC sheets for each job and return to fabrication office daily.
• Stack tested products for processing, shipping, or packaging.

MISSION OF THE POSITION

The Quality Control is responsible for inspecting each weld and each fabricated piece of pipe to ensure that it is made per production sheets. The Quality Control position will ensure that all products made in the facility consistently meet customer needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Quality Control

1. Inspect each weld for quality and inspect pipes to ensure that all outlets are located in the proper place.
2. Ensure the overall dimensions and weld placements are correct as per the production sheets.
3. Examine the threads and fittings on each pipe as per the Quality Control Sheet.
4. Compare all products to the production sheet.
5. Discard or reject products or materials not meeting specifications.
6. Inspect, test, or measure materials or products for conformance using measuring instruments.

Administrative

1. Complete and sign off on the Quality Control Sheet for each job and return the sheet to the fabrication office daily.
2. Stack or arrange tested products for further processing, shipping, or packaging.
3. Read production sheets, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
