Job summary

Supreme Rice in Crowley, LA is seeking a Quality Control professional to inspect grain products, weigh, sample and grade, and create COAs for outgoing shipments. You will work in a dusty environment and handle bulky materials while ensuring GMPs and PPE requirements are followed.

Responsibilities include inspecting containers, rails, and trucks, entering data into the computer system, reporting food safety issues, lifting up to 50 lbs, and potentially working 8-12 hour shifts with some weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to inspect product for quality and food safety issues.
• Experience with data entry into computer systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with GMPs and PPE requirements is preferred.

Inspect product for quality and food safety issues, with attention to detail.

Duties

• Inspect product, weigh, sample and grade grain
• Measure bins
• Create COAs for outgoing shipments
• Inspect containers, railcars, trucks for shipments
• Report all food safety issues to supervisor to initiate action
• Enter data from samples into computer system
• Able to work in a dusty environment while handling bulky and heavy material and exposed to seasonal temperatures
• Abide by all safety regulations and standards established by Supreme Rice
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor
• Understand and follow company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Personnel Practices
• Understand and explain the use and requirements of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• May need to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to work 8-12 hours per day, some weekends
