Job summary

Texas Family Care Network is seeking a Quality & Compliance Specialist in Dallas to monitor the quality and regulatory compliance of network providers and those from whom ancillary services are purchased. Qualifications

• DPS DFPS FBI CBCU Eligibility Determination Child Abuse Clearances.

• Receives supervision. Communicates with supervisor on an ongoing basis throughout the week by phone, email, or in person regarding program matters.
• Reviews applications from prospective Network Providers, required documents, policies, and forms. Conducts due diligence screening for performance and compliance history of prospective provider, uploads documentation into the organization's system, and submits all documents to the state for review and approval.
• Performs all duties within contract, state and federal regulations and company policies. Conducts internal reviews of serious incidents, grievances, and complaints as needed.

Education

Description

Position Summary

The Quality and Compliance Specialist promotes a culture of improvement within the Texas Family Care Network by monitoring the quality and regulatory compliance of network providers and providers from whom ancillary services are purchased. The Quality and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for facilitating the provider monitoring process, including routine provider audits, site visits, and partnering with network providers to develop and implement performance improvement plans and tracks results to ensure all issues are remediated. The Quality and Compliance Specialist will perform all job duties in a way that demonstrates and emphasizes kind and respectful behavior, purposeful connection, and integrity in a service-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

• Support/Service Delivery: Facilitates joint monitoring process with other SSCCs as applicable.
• Quality Improvement: Develops performance improvement plans for network providers.
• Supervision: Receives supervision. Receives supervision from and actively communicate with supervisor on an ongoing basis throughout the week by phone, email, written message and when possible, in person regarding program matters.
• Documentation: Reviews applications from prospective Network Providers, required documents, policies, and forms. • Risk Management and Safety: Performs all duties within contract, state and federal regulations and company policies. Conducts internal reviews of serious incidents, grievances, and complaints as needed.

Qualifications

• Education/Credentials/Licensure: Requires an associate's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience may be substituted. Bachelor's degree, preferred. Requires a valid state driver's license and safe driving record. Requires reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Experience: Requires one (1) year of experience in the child welfare industry, quality improvement, or safety and compliance.

Working Conditions

• Physical Demands: This position requires operating a keypad device 50% of the day and electronic/office equipment 50% of the day. Travel is required approximately 5 times per month along with travel by plane and works in weather conditions about 25% of the day. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs and feet are all routinely used throughout the day. The lower and upper torso is used 75% of the day. Employee must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Walking is required 10% of the day. Standing occurs 10% of the day. Sitting happens 80% of the day. Reaching above the shoulder as well as bending and twisting are performed 25% of the day. This function routinely lifts 15 pounds, 4 times per day. The maximum lift is 50 pounds, 1 time per day.
