Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a Director of Quality and Compliance to lead our quality improvement and regulatory compliance programs. You will ensure the facility adheres to federal, state, and local healthcare laws, proactively preventing losses and liability while delivering safe, high-quality care.

The role oversees audits, tracks changes in healthcare regulations, leads the quality and compliance team, and partners with hospital leadership to strengthen safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Minimum three years in healthcare quality, risk management, or compliance.
• Current RN license or certifications such as CPHQ or CHC.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS rules, and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee audits, track changing healthcare laws, and fix any compliance issues.
• Create and run programs to measure and boost patient care quality and safety.
• Train, lead, and support the quality and compliance team.
• Identify clinical risks early and develop plans to mitigate them.
• Lead surveys and visits from Joint Commission or state regulators.
• Maintain all quality data for the organization.
• Share safety data and updates with hospital leadership.
• Identify risks to reduce injury to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Work to prevent incidents and minimize damages post-event.
• Review changes in legislation and regulations impacting healthcare.
• Assist in development of risk management training programs.
• Provide input on clinical and quality issues for improvement.
