Job summary

Valley Behavioral Health System is seeking a Director of Quality and Accreditation to lead regulatory readiness and ongoing accreditation efforts across clinical and operational areas. This role oversees the QAPI program, policy development, and corrective action planning, while coordinating with leadership to ensure patient safety and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or higher in a relevant field, plus experience with regulatory surveys and a strong track

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or nursing required.
• Master’s degree in behavioral health/risk discipline preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in a Quality, Clinical, or PI role required.
• One or more years of management experience preferred.
• Experience with CARF, DEA, Joint Commission, or CMS surveys, as required by service line(s) supported

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day regulatory readiness, patient safety, and service excellence across the facility.
• Oversee the QAPI program, including data collection, analysis, and process improvement.
• Lead root-cause analyses and timely evaluations of serious incidents and investigations.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to ensure compliance with applicable standards and surveys.
• Develop and maintain proficiency in regulatory planning strategy for all standards.
