Job summary

RUSS HADICK & ASSOCIATES INC, located in Mason, Ohio, seeks a Quality Technician to perform NDT/FPI testing, verify finished parts against drawings, and prepare parts for inspection.

The role involves loading/unloading parts, using UV light, documenting logs, maintaining dipping solutions, and calibrating CMM equipment to support reduced defects and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of CMM operation experience preferred.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment; aerospace preferred.
• Experience with Repair/Overhaul FPI inspection a plus.
• Experience with other NDT fields (e.g., X-Ray) a plus.
• Experience in at least one of: Calypso, OpenDMIS, MCOSMOS.
• Experience in GD&T and reading technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformance of finished workpieces to customer specs using precision measuring tools.
• Prepare parts using specialized materials and inspect with ultraviolet light.
• Load/unload parts and document FPI test logs and reports.
• Maintain, test and replenish dipping solutions; clean parts with degreaser.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot CMM equipment prior to use.
• Provide data to machine operators to reduce defect rate.

Quality Technician

Core Responsibilities

• NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) Technician
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
• Prep parts using specialized material
• Inspect parts using ultraviolet light
• Load/unload parts, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools
• Clean parts using chemical degreaser and parts wash machine
• Perform, and Document scheduled FPI test log and reports
• Maintain, Test, and Replenish dipping solutions
• Clean, set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment prior to use
• Provide necessary data to machine operators to reduce defect rate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Three + years of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) production operation experience preferred
• Experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred
• Experience with Repair and Overhaul FPI Inspection a plus
• Experience with other NDT fields e.g., X-Ray a plus
• 3+ years of experience in CMM operation preferred
• Experience required in at least one of the following: Calypso, OpenDMIS, or MCOSMOS software
• Experience required in at least one of the following: ZEISS, Mitutoyo, or WENZEL CMM machines
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
