Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies is seeking a quality-focused individual in Melville, NY to conduct inspections and ensure quality specifications are met in a timely manner. You will assist supervisors, audit orders, and help maintain quality standards across production lines while supporting root cause analysis and employee training.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong English communication, and the ability to lift 25 pounds, with 1 year of QA or production experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• Good communication skills and knowledge of English (reading and writing).
• For Distribution, minimum of one-year Quality Coordinator or Distribution experience.
• For Manufacturing, minimum of one-year Production experience.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Must demonstrate leadership ability.
• Ability to navigate Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet & Intranet.
• Must pass written and practical tests and meet national standards.
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, and all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assists Supervisor with assigning employees to work stations.
• Inspect and audit orders for accuracy, content and specifications.
• Provide a quality standard for presser/packers or assemblers.
• Assist supervisor with random audits and document results.
• Evaluates process/product through inspections to ensure conformity to standards.
• Determines acceptability of product and notifies supervisor of issues.
• Assists in Root Cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Performs clerical functions and inputs information into computer systems.
• Verify line clearance process is followed.
• Assist QA with verification regarding expired product.
• Follows GMPs and assists training of new employees.
